Eksonic is another no-show. I think they were at last year's CanJam NY. Of course, it's kind of pointless to exhibit high-end electrostatic gear on the main floor.
They didn’t show last year, but Kerry did attend and had a couple Aeras at show booths (Audeze and Headamp).

I have not EVER attended an event like this, not even when slightly tempted by Board Game conventions happening close by. I live roughly 3 hours from NYC, and dislike city driving haha. But I'm a bit interested in this event... People who have been there before, what should I expect? Does the hotel have its own parking so I don't need to stress about that?
Is it mainly an event to listen to new tech? is it a good place to buy stuff or is waiting for online deals/discounts better? If I went, it would for sure only be one day, I think. I don't want to pay for a hotel haha.
This will be my first CJ as well so others can probably answer more authoritatively than I could, but I think these events (despite how crowded NYC reputedly gets) are a rare opportunity to actually audition an obscenely wide array of gear before buying, and I think many of the exhibitors do offer discounts for purchases at the show that you wouldn't otherwise get online.

At Capital Audiofest in 2023, HeadAmp had an Eksonic Aeras at their table and I was able to compare the Aeras vs the BHSE side by side using the X9000. So there's still a possibility that the Aeras will show up. The T2 will almost certainly not be there though...

I'm also interested in seeing how this show differs from CAF. While this will be my first CanJam, I've been to CAF multiple times and it has a decent number of headphones available even though it's mainly a 2-channel show. The headphone I'm most interested in hearing is the Raal Immanis; between meets, store demoes, and CAF, I've heard most of the other headphones I've wanted to hear. I wonder if the Final X8000 will finally be available to listen to.

Thanks, but don’t care for the Aeras. The T2 is what I wanted to audition with the X9000. Another time perhaps.

Two weeks from now, I'll be having a late breakfast with fellow Head-Fiers and industry friends, before heading off on our annual pilgrimage to @Audio46. :relaxed:
