I've never been to a CanJam before and am seriously considering flying to Dallas to attend my first show. Are there any guides for Noobs on what to expect? After reading the SoCal thread, I feel like everyone is bringing their gear to baseline what they hear. Is everyone doing that?

What advice do you wish you had known/followed before attending your first CanJam?

What advice do you wish you had known/followed before attending your first CanJam?

I brought a portable source, spare ear tips, adapters of all kinds, a USB charger, 1 set of Headphones and a few IEMs for listening and possible trades. And, most importantly, patience. It is crowded and loud and sometimes there are lines to hear something. But, it is a fantastic experience. Enjoy!

Awesome! I’m definitely putting the Softears Enigma vs Forte Ear Macbeth high on my To Do list (that was a great wrap up of my SoCal demos, but my hearing was fried by then.. so need to redo it first thing in Dallas with fresh ears The Enigma was such a delightful surprise).

Hutchins and Terry Black's are my go-tos. I heard Pecan Lodge is good but I've never tried it personally.

I missed the Fugaku at SoCal, so am interested in hearing them this time.
