Sad news, we never received any of the 18 large boxes we shipped via UPS (which were supposed to arrive on Thursday). They might arrive tonight, but I’m not counting on it. So we have basically 20% of the gear we planned to bring. Most of our IEMs and DAPs are here, and a Cayin Soul. No swag bags or giveaways can happen. It really sucks, but we’re gonna make the most of it. Apologies to everyone coming to our room today and being underwhelmed by pure mid. 😢

Wow, this is sad and alarming, I know how desperate I was when I lost one box of gear and missed the first day of the show. Hang on and do your best with whatever you have on the table. I sincerely hope the rest of the gears will show up later today.:pray:

Does @MusicTeck have a demo of the new Lotoo Paw GT2 there? Impressions if so pretty please?

Last Can-Jam I attended was during Covid and I must say, it’s a lot better now. I kind of came with a mission, which was to find a pair of really nice IEMS to use traveling. First stop was MusicTeck with a huge selection and lots of spots to sit and listen. They also had lots of knowledgeable people to make recommendations as well as DAPs to test the IEMS with. The first recommendation was the Forte Ears Macbeth:

These are incredible IEMS. Dynamic, musical and engaging with the kind of detail and resolution you would expect from a $4K IEM. Also comfortable and good isolation.

Next recommendation was the Canpur CB622B.

I liked the sound profile a little better than the Forte Ears due to sounding a little warmer, but both were definitely end game IEMS with similar prices

My final IEM stop for the morning was campfire Audio where I met Ken Ball (the owner).

He recommended I try the Astrolith with foam tips based on my warm leaning preferences and desire for isolation. It was an excellent recommendation which really paired well with my HIBY R6II Pro DAP. I ended up buying them.

I also looked at the Clara which are truly beautiful (crappy picture notwithstanding)

In comparison to the Astrolith: The Clara is closer to the Harmon curve (less bass emphasis), little less sparkle on top, not quite as resolving as the Astrolith, but not as V-shaped and more natural timbre. Very comfortable (for me) in the ear, and about the same as the Astrolith.

The Clara is extremely efficient and dynamic, which makes for a very engaging listening experience and easy to pair with a dongle DAC or phone.

Excited to see what people report back on the new Schiit products!
From what I saw on the site it was an app the united all of their products for extended control reporting errors , temps, class and other details. It's live on their site rn and they just posted an article about it. Though I'm still wondering if there something they didn't show yet.

Sounds like a baby Mjolnir with a bit more slam and less big stage/image. I don’t really like the DAP itself though, very chunky but I suppose it feels alright in hand and weight is okay. It just looks messy for a Lotoo product, but I think it delivers on the SQ dept especially if you like the Lotoo sound. Overall I am impressed but I need streaming.

Nice, thank you! Yes, it's not the most elegant design but I'm glad to hear it's got some slam.
