Hey people:

usually you're supposed to use an amp by using a lineout from the DAP.

the A3 does have a lineout connection on the side, but video signals is also transmitted, ive connected it to my TV using it.

So can you use a portable amp with the A3 using the line out connection?

Maybe you can switch the video signal off somewhere in the settings.
The LOD of my ZVM has a TV output too, but if you turn the video signal off you can use it as a lineout.

Well if the A3's line out is anything like the A2's it'll suck ass. The headphone out sounds much better. I amp the headphone out of the A2 sometimes, while it's not ideal, it gets the job done and sounds alot better out of the line out.

Yes, you can use the line out. To me it's slightly better than the HP jack. You do sacrifice using the screen while you use the line out.

Just plug a mini stereo interconnect into the AV out. Then on the bottom right of the unit slide the switch to AV out (as if you where feeding video to a TV). This turns off the screen on the A3. You get clear sound from the AV out. The HP out is garbled in this mode.
