Hello everybody,

I am in the market for a headphone to match up with my Bryston B-60 integrated amplifier. It's headphone amp section is actually really good and can deliver up to 1W of power. When stereophile's Brownell reviewed the headphone amp section he quoted "Headphones are driven by the preamp section, which, according to Chris Russell, can deliver up to about 1W into most dynamic headphones—enough to drive my Grado RS-1s very dynamically indeed. I've never heard the Grados get it up better than they do with the B-60."

Anyways, my speakers are Totem Acoustic Arro's and I do most of my listening on them but because I actually have a decent headphone section and I would like a pair of headphones for late night listening sessions.

I listen to everything from Yann Tiersen to Bjork...Led Zeppelin to Bach, I mean I really do listen to everything. So that is a factor that must be kept in mind when giving me suggestions. Ideas?

Thanks

For late night listening I assume you want closed and since you like the Totem Arro the Beyer 250-250 would be a good choice.

Hey, thanks for the reply. The headphones don't have to be closed. It's just because i live in an apartment so after 10:00 I normally don't listen to music at high levels.

You said you have a set of grado RS1's that really sound great through your Bryston B-60,so whats wrong with the RS1's? I dont know how much better you can get than that. Thats one of my dream headphones that i want to get when i upgrade from my Grado SR80's. Bryston is really great ,by the way. I have a Bryston 3BST,that i love. Im going to get a WooAudio Preamp/headphone amp to run it. :Sr80 Smile:

He was quoting a review when he said that.

What's your price range? The Grado's are easy to drive, so the review stating that they drive the Grado's great doesn't really say much.
