I have a few albums ripped from vinyl as 24 bit FLAC. Can the D3 accept this kind of stream?

As far as I can tell, no. I was disappointed when I hooked it up to find that it seems to be limited to 48k/16bit. It may have chips of higher capability, but the USB interface does not support them.

Seems like crappy advertising not to mention that lpart.

I actually did the same thing before anyone replied to this lol.

I pulled the trigger and ordered the D2 last night. I haven't received a shipping notice, and since it's 3 AM there now, I assume it won't go out until next week some time. I am excited though.

No. Same deal: 16 bit/48 KHz max.
