I've got a Clix 2 on the way, and have already got a pair of metro.fi 2 earphones. Not the best quality set-up in the world and there's no amp, but it should be a good introduction to the world of portable music.

Anyway, does anyone know whether or not the Clix 2 accepts VBR mp3s? For the sake of file space and quality this would be the best option for me, but I'm well aware that not every player/software/etc out there can actually play these things properly.

It's not a disaster if it doesn't as of course I can just use CBR, but it'd be nice to squeeze those extra albums worth of room out of the 4GB player if possible. Not planning on carrying my whole collection, but a healthy selection never hurts.

Clearly such a widely known fact it simply isn't mentioned anywhere.

I was cautious as years ago I did have problems getting certain applications to recognise them properly. Even if they played, sometimes you'd end up with it not knowing how long the track is and just displaying it at -0:00, etc. Weird stuff, basically.

I've been going lossless for a long time so haven't really kept up with how things've progressed. Since getting a portable, that is. Not really so feasible or worthwhile to go lossless.

Heh. I'm not trying too hard to sound like a total ******, but can anyone tell me how to seek through tracks with the Clix 2? I assumed I'd use the left/right buttons but they just pause or go back.

I mean, there's a "seeking speed" option if you hold down the right button but no ability to actually seek. Can anyone help a fool out?

Edit: It transpires that I'm actually a bit thick and you just hold down the "go to next/prev track" buttons.
