I'm not very familiar with how to work these forums. I try to pm a person, and I get a Bulletin Message saying:

You do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
You do not have permission to access the page that you were trying to. Are you trying to edit someone else's post or trying to access administrative features? Check that you are allowed to perform this action in the Forum Rules.
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

What gives?

Click the 'user cp' button in the top toolbar, then go into 'Edit Options.' You should be able to turn on PMs from there.

When you register you receive a verification e-mail from Head-Fi. In order to use the PM and e-mail feature you have to respond to the e-mail.

Actually, I checked, and I have the PM things on. I read in the faq, and it looks like I have to maybe be added by an admin to finalize my registration?

I just re-sent the confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address you registered with.

Please follow the instructions on that e-mail message (I think you have to click on a confirmation link).
