Thinking of putting a nice 1/8" tip on my 325's to replace the stock 1/4" one. I'm thinking a Canare F12 would be perfect.

Can someone out there in DIY land do this for me? I'm thinking I should just PM highflyin9 about it..

I have a Sennheiser 1/4" to 1/8" adaptor, which is actually the same size as the Grado one, but either way it adds weight and bulk, which is still sort of a pain when everything's plugged in. I'd rather jettison the adaptor and just get the 1/8" end on the cable.. less weight, less strain on the headphone jack.

The Canare F12 looks great, but the Grado cords are a pain in the tuchas being so thick. The interior diameter of the Canare may be too narrow to accomodate the covered cord. I had endless trouble adapting my 225s to a Radio Shack 1/8" with a similar spring housing in the rear.

I vowed that next time I adapt a Grado I'd try something with a plastic back, that way it can be dipped in boiling water and softened enough to slide over the cord.

Once you've selected a new jack, the process itself is quite simple. Are you sure you're not up to tackling it, Josh?

canare f-12s are monsters.

just use a neutrik mini connector.
switchcraft ones are slightly less bulk then the canares, but they are nowhere as small as a neutrik connector.

werd, if someone attacks you, you can hit them with the canare f-12. they will probably get hurt badly.

maybe if you nail them in the eye...

I think the neutrik mini's from partsexpress are actually pretty nice, they look good when covered in heatshrink
