A lot of times when friends ask me which is the best headphone, I can't direct them to that site because a lot of the reviews are completely biased as that headphone may have only one reviewer.

If more people can review the headphones, it will even out the choices a bit clearer for newbies.

Certainly, after the Sydney meet, I'm going to add my reviews on the HE60, L3000, Omega 2, DT 990, K701 and more...

Isn't one of the requirements to actually have the equipment in your home for 30 days?

Can you really write a review after meet impressions?

KrooLism very good point to remind us of helping out there.

I would have to agree with Jpak though, I think it's for a full review. Meet impressions don't give the full picture.

The rating system based on numbers from 1 to 10, with 10 indicating the perfect headphone - anyone mind lending me one? - makes an evaluation very formal and headache-inducing and takes away a lot of freedom. In addition there are no guidelines stated for which headphones can be added (e.g. only current ones or whatnot), which is not too funny if you find that a review of yours has been removed. Stuff like that lets the fun factor drop to pretty much zero.

I find quantifying reviews into scores out of ten to be counter productive when you're trying to build a base of reviews across a range of prices and performances. You can hardly quantify a PS-1 and an HD-201 on the same scale.

Sounds like a good mission. I don't really consider myself a senior member of Head-Fi, but I am registered with Headphonereviews.org. I have most experience with Grados and the Allessandro MSPros, the Senn HD555, HD595, & AT A900. I just got a pair of DT770-80 and I'll be receiving a pair of DT770-32 this month.
Kudos!

I don't agree with the review criteria / requirements on that www site. Duggeh sums it up nicely. I contributed 1 review for a KSC75.
I don't see the value in evaluating a headphone on an arbitrary/unit-less numeric scale. IMHO its much more valuable to compare products directly A/B style. Simply because that is how the consumer evaluates products, when they weigh pros and cons.

I much prefer to post impression threads here, where I can review products based on a more realistic and practical criteria.
