Can I use 3.5 to 2.5 adaptor and plug my IEM to FIIO BTR3K balanced output?

Is the 3.5mm [Edit: the 3.5 mm plug on your IEMs] also a balanced connector with 4 contacts? If not, if the 3.5 mm has only 3 contacts then it is not possible.

I'm not sure if I understood you well but cable is connecting to IEM via a 0.78 2pin connector. anyway, in case I can't use the adaptor, is it ok to buy any 2.5 cable like this one?
or cable (or maybe even IEM) must be specific kind ?

That link doesn't work for me somehow, it just sents me to what appears to be the home page of alieexpress and I see no cable.

Sorry I mean the other end of the IEM cable. It has a 3.5 mm plug there? How many contacts does that have?

Anyway, I only wanted to point out (just in case you didn't know) that you always need at least 4 contacts, 2 per channel, for a stereo balanced signal.

The picture in the red square shows a different plug (that looks like a 4 or even 5 contacts plug) than in the big picture. Confusing.

Anyway, all I know and wanted to say is that 3 contacts is not enough.
