I accidentally break one of my drivers on my dt880.
I decide to by new pair, and even triple the price and order the t1 driver.
do you think that it can work?

in addition I done some mods on this headphones and add detachable cable option and want to buy newer pads.

What do you think?

The T1, T5p and other Tesla drivers are made differently than the 770/880/990 and require a tight seal on the driver chamber. I haven't done the measurements but I don't think it would be a drop in replacement. That being said... I'm sure you could rig something up if you were so inclined. Just an FYI, Beyer USA sells driver replacements directly and they're very easy to deal with. I've repaired quite a few over the years. The cost is around $60 for an individual driver IIRC. Best of luck to you!

I see the same plastic inside in each of this drivers and the same venting hole

I have one driver of dt880 250ohm, is it good idea to buy the the second one (and not the pair)?
maybe upgrade my headphones to 600ohm drivers?
or to t90? t1? pair?

I bought used pair from 6years old DT990 600ohm 2 drivers for half of the price.
I not trust the seller, and I plane to use them on another headphones when I will fix mine.
one of them 575ohm the another 600ohm, the phase is twisted between them (on on the left side another the right one)!

They look like Beyer drivers but I've never seen a set that didn't have three solder tabs on each driver, so that would be a concern. Older 600ohm drivers also had external diodes that attached to the solder tabs.

You can buy a single 250 ohm driver. The design has changed a little bit over the years but they sound the same. Even if you purchase two I don't think they match them.

It's looks like beyerdynamic driver.
I find only one person on this site that sent picture with 2 pin!
my 2years old driver has 3 pins
so its really suspicious to me.
but still all design and feel looks like beyerdynamic.
the seller answer me the its dt990, and on my question he answer me that it's PRO version (only the Premium Edition has such drivers)
I think that I going to use this drivers on some DIY for another headphones.

I've worked on Pro drivers, the ones I've seen all have three pins. Not to say the seller is dishonest but I've never seen with two pins either.
OK
first of all I sure its a beyerdynamic driver:
1- same frame
2- same look on the backside
3- same sticky membrane (they make it from glue? or sugar?)

Google search find me even this one:
*I think that Its 80 ohm dt770

I got the ensure from this picture

Look what I found!
Its have a 2 pin driver because this headphones had 2 cables, double sided connected
The driver head cover is from a metal doted cap.

the new cap is from plastic spider web form

* I using mine one (looks more open)

new the question is..., what to do with the vintage drivers...
for me its not the same.
The sound is good and even perfect but still it's a little bit different on the highs confront to the dt880 250ohm pair.

I thinks about: - buy one unit of dt880 250ohm and return this headphones tp their function mode
- or buy 2 pcs of dt880 600ohm new.
- or buy some top model drivers like T1 or T90 and try them

Ok,
I desided to spend 3/4 of new price (for me pair of news: $128 before vat) and I decided to buy one used, broken phisycly pair of dt770 250ohm for $90 (without vat)
yes, I think that its gonna break my heart to take from them the driver, I just think that I prefer more the 250ohm driver over 600ohm, I liked the morescreaming highs.

last time when I bought some broken pair only for the driver of some skull candy headphones for $10, In the end I just fix it and don't throw them away.
I am too touchy for my items :sob:

when I will fix this dt770, It's will get the 600ohm drivers

Although this driver 45mm
I want to put it inside this headphones
they looks so quality and cool!
