Hi there,

I currently have a Xin Supermacro-3 amp that I am using with my Darth-Beyers... I'm assuming that part of the price involved with the SuperMacro goes into it's tiny size...

So I'm wondering if I put around $300 (around what I paid for the SM3) towards a desktop amp would I be able to get any significant upgrade or would I be better off sticking with what I have?

I'd like something where the power and input cords go into the back of the amp and the headphones come out the front. I'm assuming most/all desktop amps are configured like this (It's ugly having so many cords sticking out the front of the amp.... sounds stupid I know, but it matters

Thanks for any input.

What about LD2+? Less than $300 and will give you tube sound.

Should be a decent match with the Darth Beyers.

I just tried googling the 'Little Dot LD2+' but can't seem to find a homepage... Does one exist?

It certainly LOOKS good

For 300$ you have some options:

the Gilmore Lite: Link

the Corda Headfive: Link

I can't comment on the SQ when comparing with the Supermacro as I never heard one.

there are certainly more "home" amps in this price range. Try seargching the forums.
