Everyone trying to get me to spend money!!  I was sorely tempted by a HE560 on stereonet for $750 the day after the meet, but it sold before I really thought about it too much

Really enjoyed the meet! Was really impressed with a few items. The JH Layla was great but the sheer size of it seems a bit impractical. The R70x impressed me the most, as well as the Fidelio X2. I never got to try any of the Stax but there is always next year.

I was also impressed with the TH-600, going to have to audition a TH-900 as I'm also wanting a closed back headphone at some stage.

I bought that TH-600 after listening and comparing against TH-900. I ended up liking the 600 more. 900 seems to have a bit more lively sound whereas 600 is monitor-like with less lushness. They are both great headphones.

Good to know. I actually found 600 lush compared to what I'm used to (hd800)

There were two sets of Stax SR009. Wing was demo-ing with the Stax amp (forget the model number) while Hiep had the Blue Hawaii direct drive amp that he had waited two years (!) to have built.

On a whim after Can Con 5 I bought a v200 from the classifieds.
 
I've decided to stick with my Soloist for my hd800s.
 
The V200 is now in the classifieds for $700 if interested. In good condition.
