Can anyone recommend me a decent soundcard for around $100?

I have decided I want a soundcard. Up until this point, I have been using a USB headset, but it sucks for listening to music. No USB things please, my USB ports are screwed up.

I don't think I need a top of the line 192KHz capable card or anything, just something to plug my headphones in to and listen to music with.

So, recommendations?

NuForce uDac. it's an external dac that hooks up via usb and you plug your headphones into it. this thing is crazy good for the money. it's also smaller than it looks in pictures, i was surprised at how tiny it was.

i'm probably one of the few who downgraded my system completely and am just as happy with my ms1i from the udac (<$200 total) after selling off my keces 151 dac, ef1 tube amp, and rs1i (~$1200).

here's a nice review by headphoneaddict and discussion thread:

i've still got the itch to upgrade to tubes again, but then again whoever finds the cure for that would probably win the nobel prize for headphones. it's definitely not a knock to the uDac.

I don't really want a USB DAC, I am more looking at a PCI or PCI-E card.
