And of course your end game for the day was the $8500 option...ugh!

hahaha.. you probably right... so I now I am back to headphone again.. to detoxic that thougth for a while.. and make peace with I have (if possible off course...)And of course your end game for the day was the $8500 option...ugh!
Theres a big event in my Town.. PAPI 2019 in Jakarta...
what a lovely day for my Solaris adventure was...
1) CAYIN N8.
No Hiss on Balanced 4.4
Waterfall Hiss on Nu Tube mode.
The Tube sounding somehow is not my cup of tea... but IMO N8 is more close to Tube then AMP9
Good pair with Solaris...
2) Hidiz Sonata.
The USB C to 3.5SE... HISS with solaris...
3) DX160...
Interestingly, it had the same sound characteristics with DX221Mk2 & Waterfall Hiss...
4) Fiio M11 Pro
Hiss, but not that bad... if u can manage to accept the Hiss, IMO, I prefer this then DX160...
Sound is Neutral to Bright, detail and clarity
5)DMP Z1...
Ooo baby... The most fluid dynamic that Solaris can produce is with this pairing... #BestExperience
IMO, Z1 is not Warm pairing with Solaris.. still SONY sound sig though....
6) DX200ti...
Solaris must avoid this DX200ti... HISS.. much worse then Fiio DAP...
Tried with other IEM (u18t). if you like RAW power for Dynamic LUST, DX200ti is the one.
compare to DX221mk2, technicalities wise DX221mk2 wins...
What a great day... Especially Trying DMP Z1...
Forget DX220 with AMP9 with Solaris impression...
HISS... quite annoying for me.. but I already had a solution for that.. ifi ebuddy... HISS GONE...
IMO, AMP9 is not Tube sounding.. N8 is more Tube sounding... pairing with SOLARIS...
Edit : CAYIN N6ii T01 module... I prefer these then A01 Module... More references sounding, and very good in handle Hiss with Solaris

Man...December 12th can't come soon enough...really hoping I can get my SE Solaris before my Christmas holidays so I can spend some quality time with them. Did anyone else here take the plunge and pre-order a pair?

while we are all now waiting, as this is my first experience with the Solaris (currently using Shure SE 846 with AK SP2000), can some of you comment on ALO wire options - super Litz vs silver Litz or any other balanced cables?

I prefer the silver litz cable overall because I it's more supple

Using the SXC 8 currently, sounds better than other cables that I have including the super litz and ref8.while we are all now waiting, as this is my first experience with the Solaris (currently using Shure SE 846 with AK SP2000), can some of you comment on ALO wire options - super Litz vs silver Litz or any other balanced cables?
The SXC8 is currently on sale on their deal site and so is the gold 16. Just purchased a gold 16 in 2 pin (350) for 100 less than the MMCX (450). Since I’ll remove the memory wires anyway, figured I will also switch out the connectors as well from 2 pin to MMCX and save 100 bucks.
i was very tempted by the black Friday Gold cable. Looking forward to any impressions. Please tag me when you do. Thanks!Using the SXC 8 currently, sounds better than other cables that I have including the super litz and ref8.

I picked up the Gold back in February @ CanJam NYC. I'll have to look up my notes on how it compared to the SXC8 on the WM-1Z.
Does anybody know the exact bore size where the ear tip meets the stainless steel for the Solaris?
I picked up the Solaris in the sales and received them today.
Along with sounding great I was really pleased to find the new packaging version also has no memory wire in the ear hooks! Wasn't expecting that, but definitely appreciate the change.

Memory wire is evil. It should be banished. It's nice to see ALO slowly removing them from their cable offerings. The stock cable that came with my Io was also memory-wire-free.I picked up the Solaris in the sales and received them today.

Module E01 for CAYIN N6ii is almost out.. with ES9038Pro... eager...
