I’m a little bit divided on which IEM buying as my first cfa. On eBay there’s an Andromeda s and an Ara.
That seller is or was selling a King for an insane amount. I would not buy the Andro 2020 from him. Take a look in classifieds on this site. I have gotten most of my gear right here. eBay most of the time will be higher price because the seller has to pay eBay a cut. Here you check out person's classifieds feedback. You can also check out CA's own Market.

For those that try to buy used only:

https://www.hifishark.com/search?q=campfire

You can check past sales to get an idea of market value - VERY useful but you won't know if sold below asking price which happens all the time.

https://www.hifizero.com/index.php?q=Campfire

CA's Own Market

Also Reddit A/V Exchange is another place. Lots of people do not post on here but do there. I have never bought anything off there myself but know someone that uses it all the time.

Drop.com

Ebay ONLY after you know market price so you can place a better offer if they are over priced.

Others feel free to add to the list

Check the fine print on Drop.com. Very caveat emptor. Don’t make any assumptions unless explicitly stated in the terms and conditions.

I’ve bought a couple sets from Marketplace that were in great condition. And got a deal in classifieds here that I just couldn’t pass up.

lol ... not my favorite. do any other audio companies even use a cable like that? I know desk lamp companies do

I love the Time Stream cable sound and looks. Maybe I do like wearing lamp cables lollllllll (though I know of no lamp cables that look remotely like this) but in any sense it is much nicer than the generic black plastic sleeved stock cables most other brands offer with their iems.

It's not that it's a lousy cable but what it means that they would even pick something that looks like a lamp cable. And what it means that they would include the wrong size tips. Something about it disturbs me to be honest like who would sign off on that ?? Maybe I am looking too deep but something is off with them for doing that
What are you talking about?
Wrong size tips? You are aware that many manufacturers have various sizes and there's only an idea of a standard size in terms of S/M/L... then there's MS/ML... then there's fit issues within a company with the same size but different products...

AZLA crystal MS is not the same as Xelastec MS even if the measurements are the same. The Xelastec will be TIGHT as heck in a M if you're a Crystal M. I ignored that advice when I bought the first time and realized immediately I needed to half size down.

The cables could have easily been upgraded across the board to the time stream way earlier, but attributing some sort of malice is odd.

Not sure what you mean by wrong size tips............CFA silicons never fits me that well, but that doesn't mean they are "wrong". I just need in-between sizes that they don't offer, and there are all too many silicon tip options on the market so no one cares anyway. CFA foams on the other hand are of very good quality, much better than complys and on par with the more expensive Dekonis imo.

That is Echo as a kitten. Unfortunately the Scottish fold gene can be associated with some health issues due to cartilage malformation. It can mean heart defects as well as cute ears. He died suddenly fairly young. He and his sisters were supposed to just be fosters. I even gave them temporary names. Alpha and Beta were actually adopted out. I just had to keep Echo, I mean look at him. Charlie and Delta never got very friendly. I describe myself as the person they hate the least. Here’s a pic of Echo and Charlie as adults. And a bonus pic of 8 sleeping cats. We now return you to your regularly scheduled headphone discussions…

Thanks for your suggestions. I’ll see what deals there will be around Black Friday, and probably I’ll pick something.

I don’t know why many of the model that picked my interest are all BAs; currently the IEM I’m using in DD and the only other experienced I had with IEM was with an Aful performer 5 (1Dd+4BA), tried for 2 weeks and then put on sale, because I didn’t like it at all.
So part of me actually is really scared to try BAs again 😂😂
