Since I happen to be around here I have to ask, am I the only fan of the venerable Polaris IIs these days? I actually liked the V1s as well, but I sold them years ago. I ended up picking up a pair of Polaris IIs used and it was like being reunited with an old friend who had made a few improvements in our time apart.

Anyways, they aren't as widely loved as the vaunted Andro series or as popular as some of the new successes like the Supermoons or Bonnevilles, but I was wondering if anyone else keeps a pair of them around like I do or if I'm just that lone nut out there like my loved ones keep saying...😜
I liked them! Very fun, ultimately I didn’t use them enough to warrant keeping them. Also the most prettiest color 🤩

Can the Ponderosa compliment my current lineup of:

Black Star
Andromeda Gold
Andromeda [OG]

Bolded because they are all BA designs also.
I think so. I think the ponderosa and the Fathom both use knowles new dual diaphragm BAs only campfire and Astell and kern use them so far.

The Atlas at $280 is definitely tempting. I’m just concerned with driver flex taking its toll with them. At its current price it is definitely a purchase I’m considering though.

Has anyone had driver failure due to driver flex with their CA iem?

Let me say that I have had nothing but great customer service from Campfire Audio over the years. So I’m just asking out of curiosity.

Lately I have been experiencing driver flex with 2nd set of BlackStar iem’s. I am extremely careful with how I seat them in my ears. Going so far as to use memory foam comply tips and compress the tips so that they expand into my ear canal and not create any tympanic pressure. Still it’ll happen when adjusting them from time to time during a listening session. So it worries me. I’ve never had a DD fail on me due to driver flex but since I own multiple CA iem’s that use a DD it concerns me.

Are we getting close to a new headphone release from CA? :D
I hope so! I never heard the Cascade but I like how it looked, the materials used in its build, and that you could tune the sound with the supplied filters.

I would be interested in another DD based HP or even better…a Planar Magnetic driver HP from CA!! 🤔😧
