I use the Pioneer 300R, $450 One Day Prime Shipping right now. You can find the silver version cheaper on eBay which is what I did. I use it with my Lyra II, was recommended it by @SeeSax who uses it with his Vega's. Only downside to it can be battery life when using WiFi other than that it's fantastic and sounds great

Another good option is the Opus#3.

Also, depends on what features you want like BT, WiFi, etc

iBasso DX200 for $869. Versatile (modular amp system for different sound signatures and power reqs), most powerful as a standalone DAP, and some prefer it to the SP1000 and NWM-1Z (or however you spell the Sony one).

Thank you. How does DX200 compare against Fiio X7ii which I gather also has modular amp system? Anyone has tried Vega with both DX200 and Fiio x7 and has a preference?

Nope but check user Twister6's reviews and comparisons, www.twister6.com, he goes on depth. I believe DX200 is quite a bit ahead from almost everything I've read.

If you can find one in the for sale section I would pick up a dx200. I was able to get a dx200 and an extra amp 3 for $700. Amazing sound on both Vega and Andromeda.

I would totally agree, I have the DX200/amp 3/Andromeda and it’s an awesome combo. Hoping to have the Vega in a month or so.
