Campfire Audio Vega (and Dorado and Lyra II) - Head-Fi TV

I've tried them, but not a big fan - not a fan of foamies in general.  Hard to insert in such a way that they don't work their way out of my ears after 15 minutes or so.  I am liking the spinfits quite a bit though.

The spinfits cause a weird suction effect in my ears and then if I pull them out enough to hear the music again, the isolation becomes almost nonexistent

I am getting a second alo Ref8, this one's balanced 4.4, i wish i knew how amazing balanced was on 1A/Z before ordering the se ref8, but having that will never hurt. In my book spending more than this on a cable is silly.i only wish i could have mmcx and 2 pin in one cable magically

Haha. I was just going to post too.

You can buy mini adaptors mmcx to two pin, and two pin to mmcx.

Wow, does it work, i mean isn't it too long and unstable. Where do i get it to uk, would you know?
Thanks so much guys

thanks expatin, i think these are great for trying cables at home, but not an option for actual use since itll be too long and unstaible/put preassure on the connectors. maybe im wrong since i havent tried, but imagining it just dont see how it will work in a long use

I had a 2-pin male to MMCX female adapter cable made by @PETEREK (for my Ref8). Came out very nice. I prefer cable adapters, (presumably) less force on the iems.

I was thinking the same.  Instead of making connector longer with an extension adapter which could feel uncomfortable (especially for those with smaller or average size ears), having a short cable adapter will feel more natural over your ear.

PM'd @PETEREK, a cable adapter might work. Btw, i prefer the Alo Tinsel to Ref 8 with Oriolus, but would love to try Vega with 8, it should be much better pairing

Maybe you're pushing them too far in or need to go up/down a size?

After experimenting I've decided I don't like the tone from the spinfits too much, just lack body.  It really seems that these were tuned with the foamies.  The only problem is anything beyond a really shallow insertion makes then too bloated.  I find what's working best for me are the large foamies just inserted enough to seal - so they're basically sitting almost entirely outside my ears.  They stay in well enough as long as the ear guides are secure.

I can confirm. This happened with me too both with Vega and Dorado. I used Spinfit large and when I wear them, the sound disappears from my right ear. When I pull it out, it pops and it's almost out of my ear so zero isolation.

This doesn't happen with my 64 Audio U12 however

Same experience with spinfits and Vega.
