for me i feel Vega must be paired with a tubish sound for the perfect synergy. Alo V5/WA8.

I completely agree....  I really think that a tube sound can bring out the clarity of the warmth. and really complete it.  I mean, it would go perfectly with Alo's tube amps or just about any good tube TBH.

I am not talking about perfect synergy. I said it gets the job done.
get the job done means maximizing it :p

Vega + Woo Audio WA8 may well be the best combo. Havent heard this pairing myself yet, only tried them individually.

Can also confirm that ALO CDM pairs really well with the Vega. If using a phone with the USB Audio Player Pro app as the source turn flight mode on or use a 0.5M or longer USB OTG lead to keep the phone away from the CDM. Waiting for iBasso DX200 to hit Australia hopefully they have an amp card that is just balanced out and balanced line out (so I don't need to adjust the volume out every time I connect it) by the time they do, for my Audio source.

Vega sounds really good with Continental v5 in high gain mode. Really nice timbre, especially with strings.
Low gain not enough power? Why you selling it?

Has anyone tried the Linum Bax cable? I've heard good things about it with other IEMs.

I think people mostly get it for their ergonimics bcos it's so light. I didn't notice any sound changes, and it tangles like a mofo. The newer SuperBax might be what you're looking for instead for sound improvement.

How funny that a question about these cables, because I got the demo unit last week on Friday. Currently, I'm letting my ears adjust before switching to my various cables I own. First impressions are they are amazing. I really don't feel like I'm wearing any cables. At the same time, I feel like I'm not missing out on anything. Listening to violin pieces, since I do play violin personally, the sound is quite excellent. Nothing wierd nor restraint. Just as with anything, as I scale up the quality of the recording and mastering it really does sing.
Though to say the least, the stock cable on the Vega is pretty good.
