Campfire Audio New IEM release

Ken Ball: The only thing we changed was the color of the screws.
Headfi: I hear deeper bass and fuller mids.

I compared it to the OG version and didn‘t have the chance to listen to the SE. Maybe the differences sound-wise are not as big when comparing the 2020 to the SE, compared to the OG, there definitively is a difference.

Some shots of Solaris 2020 side by side w/other IEMs would be greatly appreciated. This will give us a better idea of the size.

Sorry, already sold my Solaris OG and currently do not have any other IEMs at my house...

For those of you with the Andromeda Gold, how does the Solaris 2020 compare? I've been very happy with my Andro Golds, but a smaller Solaris is tempting.

CA is advertising this much iterations and modifications as " chasing the continuous improvement" but it tells me that they do not perfect their products to the maximum and just issuing them when they think it is good enough to sell. This is one of the reasons I am now only buying higher end IEMs second hand. Most of the smaller boutique manufacturers will keep releasing new models dozen a dime every year and will claim it is more refined, better sounding, etc and the price of the previous model will get lower fast in 2nd hand.

I can understand that this community is fairly small. Yes, it is huge compared to 20 years ago and much bigger than it was 10 years ago but having this much manufacturers in the market with so much competition and limited buyers, these guys need to keep selling to stay alive. So here comes new flagships, special editions, limited editions with small changes every year to milk the community a bit more and more and more.

I am really losing my interest in this hobby because at the moment it is not possible to keep up with new releases unless you are a well known reviewer who gets the goodies free of charge and I am fed up with getting milked.
All though I whole heartedly agree with your post it is I'm afraid in nearly every technology, I'm not rich can't afford to buy these like its small change but these companies quite often need to keep turning over new products and reiterations to be a viable company.... took me a while to buy my Andromeda s and I feel it's more a case of enjoying what you got if you are not so fortunate, we don't have to buy them. ... personally I like to see these remodelled and newer designs more than special editions .

Hey guys,

I was in the market for an Andromeda and about to buy them, but then I realized that the Andromeda 2020 was announced.

Is it more worthwhile to get these than v3 seeing as though they’re the same price point?
Based on the video Jude did with the CFA team I would think it would be the better choice since the Andromeda 2020 is a refined version of the v3.

you wont regret it , if you loved the golds :) you will love these too :)
we will see - you've got the first ones from Headphone Company - i'll have to wait until end of next week... or perhaps a little bit longer
but in the year 2020 without all of these live concerts it's time to enjoy our toys...
