The Andro Gold + WM1A is an unusually good match. Tons of dynamics, massive, almost behind the ears soundstage, no hiss when music is playing and an excellent midrange surprisingly. Using 3.0.1 firmware.

The amount of Andromeda’s out and frequency of release is actually a joke. The Gold limited edition was just on sale how long ago?
It is a bit frustrating. One of the reasons I could rationalize buying the Gold is that I figured I could sell it with out too much of a loss in the future. A bunch of releases degrades it's value. Turns out I like the Gold so much I probably won't ever sell it but who knows.

I mean at least the gold is different than the other andros but i feel like they release a new variation every few months now, just odd to me.

Totally agree. I like the sound of the original Andro but got a bit bored of the signature. The added warmth and the retained sparkle in the treble made the Gold a keeper. The added fit and comfort was also a welcome change. The new nozzle length is great.

I guess it depends on what they do. If they have unique signature differences but retain the core benefit of the OG version I guess they can justify it. Maybe the next one will have more mid range punch.

I for one would be interested (if possible) in an andro in a more comfy shell as the edges were always rough for me, I know with the TAEC design it may not be possible but that’s something I think would be a game changer, unlike different colors. But to each their own.
