I had no hiss with the Galaxy S9/Dragonfly Red and FH7s, but the Solaris is nothing but hiss. I love the convenience of a DAC/amp dongle, but as a Spotify user, dongles won't work for me until Android gets its USB driver to work right. The Intruder has 3 gain settings and a physical volume control, so it gives me complete control over the noise floor.

BTW... already got leak from countable resource...AMP9 is totally Hiss... even with POLARIS V2... how about with AG ?

I don't have an AG but I can say that AMP9 with Solaris is a no go for music with quiet passages. Total hiss monster.

I haven't tried balanced (which I assume would probably hiss more), but I do hear hiss with the gold's on the n6ii. It's faint, but it's there.

You either have to find a source with a really low noise floor (quality).



Tbh, will probably by classics forever in this hobby. ER4SR are my next choice for a classic IEM.
