Word on the street is that Ken Ball and the team that brought us ALO Audio are in the process of launching a new brand called "Campfire Audio". Gather around the Campfire my friends - good times await!

While the ventures are related, the line of demarcation is that ALO Audio will cover amps and cables while Campfire will be all about IEMs and headphones.

They even have a beta version of their website up at http://campfireaudio.com/.  Only some of the info is listed, but the pictures sure are interesting.

And here's their new logo.

Looking at the web-page there are three initial IEM offerings named the Lyra (dynamic), Jupiter (quad BA) and Orion (single BA), so a mix of dynamic and balanced armature IEMs.

And have to admit that I've been fortunate enough to listen to some of these IEM's, and Ken and team have done a very nice job on this first foray into transducers. The "Jupiter" is my personal favorite!

Much more to come.

Cheers

BTW, I've started a dedicated Lyra thread. I didn't realise this was up and then after I published a response here I was like: oh well. Anyway, if you'd like to read my full initial thoughts on Lyra, hit up ohm image. If you want to hit up the head-fi thread, click here.

Good review and his insights resonate pretty closely with my experiences with the Lyra during the time I spent with it and the Jupiter. Cheers

I was auditioning some replacement cables for my Noble Audio Savant, auditioned the DT1770 Pro as well since I was in the market for a nice close back can (of the more than 10 pairs of cans I own, only the Alpha Dog is close back, the AH-D2000 and AH-D7000 don't cut it as close back....being semi-open). Anyway, decided on a whim to try out the Jupiter and the sound, my goodness the sound! Won me over right there and then, forgot all about the replacement cables and DT1770 Pro (for now), and ponied up for the Jupiter.....enjoying it with my Fiio X3 II and JDS Labs C5 stack. And now, some potato pics!

I agree with you 100%, I have lots of iems current crop JH Audio 16s and Roxannes, Dunu 2000j, Nuforce Primo 8, Shure 846, Westone, Final Audio etc. and the Jupiter is my current favorite. Light in your ear, great separation, big sound. A super iem, big cans I have Audeze LCD X, Kingsound, then new and improved Beats studio and final Audio VI. Just ordered a mojo to upgrade sound of my A&K 100 mk2, we'll see as I'm enjoying these Jupiters immensely! Also, at a lower cost but close behind checkout the Dunu's a real bargain!
