Hey all,

Once again sorry for using this board as a personal messenger service,

Can Justin from Headamp please send a personal message to me. I have been trying to contact you, and have not had a reply.

I would like to know when you would be shipping the Gilmore lite w/dps I ordered from you. You had stated I could properly get it 30 July, however that time has come and gone.

The reason I ask for when you will be shipping is that I live in the UK (as you will know from my order) and at moment the Royal Mail are on random strikes.

(also brought a nice DAC coming up to a month ago, which at moment is just sitting on my table, waiting for, what I hope, is a fantastic headphone amp)

Many Thanks.

Maybe he's not getting your emails?

Headamp really is just 1 guy and he's busier than a 1 armed paper hanger.

Have you PM'd him through the boards? That way if there's an issue with your email address or his spam filters you'll be coming in from a different address.

Yes, Mr. Wilson can be irritatingly unobtainable. I've found that the best way to contact him is by telephone - try a few times, he can be reached in the evening too [EST], he might work out of his residence. Unfortunately BT charges usurous rates for tel. service.
I think the trouble is that JW's business has exceeded the limits of what one person can hope to achieve in the times he quotes, my GL took multiples of the originally quoted 6 weeks to arrive.

Has anyone considered that maybe these Super Amp Heroes go on vacation in the Summer just like regular people do?

The only complaint you could have with Justin is He's thorough and meticulous. I waited a full year for the Aristaeus. He had numerous problems with suppliers and a difficult time getting reliable custom transformers made by a well respected manufacturer.

If the delay is frustrating imagine getting something delivered that wasn’t done right? One thing I don’t hear on Head-Fi about Justin is quality issues or units damaged in shipping or units failing in the field. Might not be easy to accept but it’s worth the wait to have it done right the first time.

No one that I've heard of doubts Justin's veracity and ability to produce an A1product with meticulous attention to detail - he always eventually comes up with the goods.
The thing is that when he states on his web site the wait time for an item and it doesn't arrive even close to that time without notification, you wonder if you've fallen off J's radar, or the PayPal order has fallen behind the workbench.

In my experience (and also based on reading about others' experiences), Justin has always been on the ball with order processing, unlike a certain other individual that shall remain nameless.

Maybe he doesn't respond right away, but he certainly seems to read everything promptly.

........but it never happens, does it?

I have never heard of Justin ever failing to deliver the goods. I have talked to Justin one on one in meets and I can say he is way beyond meticulous. He rejects a large number of components he receives from manufacturers because they fail to meet his standards and that of course delays things down the assembly line. Perhaps he could spend more time answering emails but then that would take time away from assembly and testing. Relative to the time Justine puts into his products and the quality provided I would say his profit margins are pretty thin. We are getting a very reasonable deal with his products but perhaps for an extra ten percent added to each product Justin could then hire an assistant to answer email inquiries.

No disrespect intended btw.

bhd812; mate you made my day, could not stop laughing after reading your message.

I have once before got in contact with him (through these forums) and we exchanged a few emails, so I would not think my domain is blacklisted as spam.

Year he could be busy, which is fine. However after spending $500 I would of liked a bit more of a reply from a order process request.

Will email the alternative email provided in this thread.
