I can't seem to find this anywhere.... Maybe it's just that intuitive but I'm an idiot so I'll ask anyway.

Given that one knows the following:

Headphone sensitivity
Headphone impedance
input power (what are we looking for here, mW, V??)
desired output dB at full-volume (or no input attenuation)

How does one go about calculating the desireable gain for a circuit?

Tangent, if you listening, this would be a great subject to touch-upon in your parts selection advice in the Meta42 docs IMHO.

I just fiddle with resistor values until I'm happy. Sorry to be so vague, but that's the truth.
