Used to chill out to these albums a while ago before I discovered good audio. Went back and and am listening to Cafe del Sol: Atmospheres right now-- holy cow, I knew I liked my setup, but listening to this album gives me a whole new appreciation for good sound. The clarity of the highs and lows is just awesome.
Any other fans of this series? (Cafe del sol is just the name of the cd, vol 1, 2, best of etc, its listed as various artists)
Ill have to admit I do have to be in the mood to listen to Ambient though, I usually prefer faster electronica/house/trance to ambient/chill. But as far as ambient goes, these are some pretty decent albums.
That and Boards of Canada, cant go wrong with them either.
