Well now when I have everything else in order it's time to take a look for better interconnects. It happened so luckily that there's a group order to China vol. 2 going on here in Finland and I joined it (again). Last time I ordered V.A.L. E-10 tube amp which turned out to be not so good.

Well this time I ordered Xindak AC-02 interconnect cable. I really don't have much experience in cables but I think this sweetie will do fine for me. At least I have heard many positive comments about Xindak cables because there was many people who bought it in first group order. This wasn't even cheapest alternative with ~40EUR price and it still looks like a High-End cable. Cheapest "HiFi cable" I could have got from Finland was Supra's cheapest model which would've cost 56EUR.

So now I just have to wait and wait again... Please post your opinions/comments. I'll post mine when the cable arrives.

Oh and thank you again Head-Fi. Another 40EUR spent for my beloved headphone interest.

xindak is a name I see a lot in regards to cabling overseas, I havent read much of them but they seem to be well regarded from what I have read.

you should also take a look at the cable specifications i.e. conductor material, connector quality and so on when looking for high quality cabling. Good luck on your purchase, Id be very itnerested in your impressions.

regarding the Chinese tube amp, its a shame that yours turned out sour. My Chinese tube amp cost me $260 shipped. and it was a horrible experience at first, I got ringing, and static on the volume pot, along with a loud audible electrnoic buxx

. After some recommendations here on head fi and another electronics forum, i was able to remove the static distortion by turning the pot back and forth quickly for about 15 minutes, and swapping out the the stock Chinese tubes with electro harmonix tubes, removed the ringing, but the sound was dry and limited in bass response.

with matched NOS russian tubes and Sovteks, the ringing is not only gone, but the bass response improved dramtically and taking out my Grados and using the AKGs 600 ohm cans solved the elctronic buzz problem and gain issues.

now my amp sounds superb and smooth as butter. Im expecting some Russian pre amp tubes to replace the other two Chinese stock tubes.

at first I regretted purchasing it, but with a bit of persistance and admittantly a large chunk of expended income, I now have an incredibly smooth, musical sound headphone amp.

total the $260 amp really cost more close to $400-$500 after upgrades.

have you swapped out the tube yet?

Well first I was about to order Xindak AC-01 but as you can read from 01's description it would have been wrong choice for 650s. But if 02's description is true it should fit fine with the 650s.

When I tried my V.A.L. E-10 with 650s it didn't even have enough power to drive them loud enough. I had to turn the volume pot to 80-90% that I got a decent volume out of them. With HD595 it would've gone fine but not with 650s. Also there was some static buzz audible.

Then I tried Rega Ear. It really made a huge difference to that Chinese one. Beat it like 6-0 and on every aspect. So I decided to go with the Rega Ear.

I may have made a too rash conclusion but I already sold my E-10 to another Head-Fi'er. I'm in contact with him almost every day and he has already changed the tube. First he had to make some mod that the new tube would fit there. He also ordered his tubes from Russia. I don't remember the model right now but I'll update it here when I remember it.

EDIT: The new tube which the current owner of E-10 has is Sovtek 12AX7 LPS.

I thought that there are quite a few Chinese Head-Fi -members here. Doesn't anyone have Xindak interconnects? I would really like to hear some comments about them. Well of course you don't have to be Chinese to own them.

Finally my AC-02 has arrived. I haven't been able to run any tests yet but my first impressions are that it sounds good.

I had to remove those aluminium tighteners from the other end of the cable cause Juli@ has too small RCA plugs. Hope it doesn't affect sound.
