ive heard a few cables and i am a firm believer the merits of good cable.. but the other day while playing on my ART DIO without the hood. i cant help but notice how the outlaw was connected to a resistor that had a wire thickness of ~1mm. of course all circuits are similar which makes you really wonder about cables.. when the signal finally gets passed to thin circuit wires..

it just doesnt make sense! (though my ears says differently)

The thin wires would only be a problem if you had to extend them beyond the few mm that they are.
I would not want a 1mm diameter solid core wire, 1 meter in length that was unshielded to act as my interconnect!

The interconnect in the chip (DAC, amp etc) are even thinner and they are made out of aluminum. However, they are very very short.

I wouldn't worry about a short interconnect.
