Hey everyone,

I have a Nomad Zen USB 2.0 20GB (the original huge one with the tiny screen). I was wonder if anyone has had experience bypassing the amplification stage to just get a simple line out. I use it pretty much exclusively with my HD650's and I need an amp desperately. I'm probably going to buy a SuperMacro-3 regardless if the amp stage is bypassable.

So, is it possible? I have access to all manner of soldering devices and electronic things (the whole EE lab at WPI

I guess it isn't possible then, since I've searched through 20 pages of search results and found nothing.

Anyways, is it still worthwhile getting a portable amp for this purpose? I could use a multimeter to try to match the output voltage of the zen as close to line level as I could, would that help?
