I guess I can spend about $130 CDN, I have Grado SR 60's and love them, but I think I need something small as I look ridiculous at school. Rofl.

So, what do you guys suggest for me? These will be used on a portable MP3 player that I carry around everywhere.

:p

Do IEM's count?

If not, the budget is perfect for a audio-technica CM7. Can't get simpler than that.

If IEM's DO count...
You'll find a deal with the Shure E4 either here or on eBay that just stretches your budget by $10 - $20 sooner or later.

Or if you wanna go cheaper, go for the Sennheiser CX300, JVC FX55 / FX77 or Creative EP630. All below $60.

EP-630 is not the CX 300... EP-630 is the IE4 from Sennheiser.

I am not saying they are the same. I was just saying a lot fo people compare them to the performance of the Senns.

i'd recommend the E4's. Just look on ebay, you can probably get them for around 160 dollars or so...its worth spending a little more for quality, because i've had those type of IEM (like CX300, Sony EX71's and so on) and they break very often...

My shure E4's have 4 months on them and they are spot on perfect!

I'm not sure what to get... I want something I can use for a long time, they're for my birthday, and I don't want the price to be excessivly high, but I want high quality canal phones.

Shure's or Ety's?

I'd get the E4, but for the price I do like my ER-6i's. Though, in retrospect, I wish I'd just made the "jump" to the E4.
