Buying parts?, San Jose - South Bay area?

Is there a brick / mortar place I can buy parts? resistors caps pots...etc...? besides rat shack? Sometimes I just like to see / feel what I'm getting. Helps me plan component layouts better.

I used to go to Quement electronics a decade ago for all my speaker building parts, but they closed looong ago.

Dan pretty much summarized it...

I usually go to HSC (Halted) near Central Expressway or Excess Solutions on Brokaw near Frys. ES seems to have more mechanical-type items (e.g., cable tie-downs, rubber feet, small heatsinks, etc.). Also note that there is a bunch of stuff overhead at ES that isn't shown in the bins... makes it hard to locate and purchase stuff, huh?

BTW... as an added bonus, ES seems to stock Girls Gone Wild DVDs if that's your thing.
