I've been looking for a set of phones that I can use for studio mixing as well as general listening. Though I'm still stuck between the Denon D1000s and the Equation RP-21s, I'm going to have to make a final decision this weekend. Currently, I'm planning on buying the RP-21s for a few reasons...
1. Excellent reviews regarding sound quality and frequency response
2. They have better isolation then the D1000s
3. I can buy them for $99 at a local suppler of audio equipment
My reasons for considering the D1000s are mainly regarding the "Comfort" factor. I also like the way the D1000s look maybe a bit more then the RP-21 (not that it's a top priority).
Do you think I should stick with the RP-21s or should I reconsider the D1000s?
Also, should I invest in a pair of Beyer Leather pads to replace the stock pads on the RP-21s?
