I need headphones for two quite separate activities. I don't mind purchasing two different headphones if that is optimal, but ideally one set may be best (depending on the price). One set would mean i could spend more and get a better quality set, but would likely mean a compromise on the features needed.

My budget is reasonable, £60ish, but I don't mind spending more if the extra cost is justified, but also if I can spend less and still have quality headphones, obviously that would be ideal.

The first scenario is on the go listening to music. I have an ipod nano(3rd), with the standard earphones, which are simply not noise cancelling enough, and are starting to fall apart anyway. Considerations for this are; looks (i.e maybe not huge headphones), noise cancelling and sound quality. Also being able to comfortable have them in for hours is a must.

The second scenario is at home gaming for voice coms and game noises. My ipod headphones are simply not comfortable enough for this job. Looks is obviously a non-issue, and sound quality is probably not as important, as i won't usually be listening to music through them(although the occasional movie). Noise cancelling is also a non issue as they will be used indoors. The main important factor is really comfort, to be able to play for hours and not feel uncomfortable. I don't have a soundcard if that's important, just the onboard from my p35k, I also own z-40 speakers.

I have done some research on my own, but been basically overwhelmed by the options available, and help would be greatly appreciated.
