Should I buy the AK4490 DAC or the True Multi Dac? What exactly is a True Multi Bit DAC?
Does it sound better?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Great choice on the lyr 3, I got mine a few months ago and I love it.

As for which dac, hard to say, multibit is the better of the two, but the difference is not a large one. Most would recommend getting the cheaper built in dac for now and then adding a stand alone dac at a later time, which is not a waste, as with the built in dac you always have some more flexibility in setups if you need a one and done solution.

What headphones are you planning on listening to with your upcoming lyr?

I’m also thinking of getting the Lyr 3 to pair my Focal Clear. I wonder if they match?
