Guys, I have a cheap RCA cdp (#8070P), and the audio quality from the analog outputs is terrible (bloated mids, boomy bass, missing highs). Fortunately the player has an optical output so I could run it through a DAC.
Would it be worthwhile to buy a DAC for this player or am I better off spending the money on a new source? A refurb denon dcm-370 or used nad c521 can be had for $150...
