From what I've read here, that'll be a good choice. Many of the older more experienced users say good things about this amp. Let us know how it sounds when you get it..

Hi,

I have a Porta Corda 11 and am very pleased with both the unit and the service from Jan Meier. I'd be interested in other users opinions on the sound difference when used in Class A mode.

What I did when I went to class A mode was also turn off the led to conserve battery power. But it's tough to give a good impression since I did this so long ago and no longer have the amp - it was the victim of my lust for my current source.

But it won't change the amp as such, it's just everything is a bit more there than it was before.
