One of the IEMs I was thinking about is the Klipsch S4. Many say to burn them in extensively. If I were to go away for a week over Christmas and let them burn in continuously, do I risk damaging them. Do they need a break, or is it ok to let them go for extended periods?

As long as you burn them in at just slightly above normal hearing volumes and do not blast the music they should have no issues with the burn-in process. Its ok to let them burn in for days together as long as you keep a check on the volume.

You can also download the 2 minute track of "digital silence" and add it to the loop to give the drivers a bit of rest.
