Hi,

I have bought a Grado RS2 and the gilmore lite amplifier. i will get them tommorrow.

For the headphones to burn in properly, any suggestions on the type of music that i need to use. like, should i use base heavy music or details filled instrumental music or something else.

This is going to be my first experience into audiophile music and i hope that i do it right.

Burn in happens, but it's nothing you have to worry about.

Put on the headphones and listen to what you want. They will change a little, but I've never had a headphone that sounded bad out of the box. And I've never seen a convincing argument for break in before listening.

So listen. And enjoy your new rig - very nice setup!

x2

Some people say use pink noise to burn them in but I have just listened to my headphones right away and let them burn in naturally.

nice startup rig.. just listen to the music and let them burn in themselves or you can use pink noise to expedite the process. you can use the pink noise when the grado is not in use. btw what kind of source are you using right now with the grados?

Nice rig you get there!
Regarding burn-in. I suggest you don't care about it at all.
Just mount the RS2 on your head, put on your favorite music and enjoy. Simple as that.

Enjoy!

hi.. so i got the headphone... the sound is very detailed and i am getting used to it. i was inspecting the headphone and i found that the serial number is 4417x. i was just curious to know what the X stands for and approximately when this headphone might have been made. also, the RS2 button is present in the headphone so i guess it should be an older model as the newer ones do not have the button.

any idea??
