I just got a pair of Shure Se-420's for christmas. So far I have been dissapointed, mainly cause of a lack of real burn in, or the bass is too overpowering on my iPod Classic 6th gen. Im using the rock EQ while burning, is that alright? Or should I just use off or flat as my EQ to get the best sound? Also, will putting on treble boost break in the treble and make treble more prevalent? My SE110's sounded better than these pair which are pretty sad :/ Any advice is great, as these are my first pair of real "audiophile" headphones. Thanks!

There's a nice sticky at the top of the headphone forum that covers this: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/hea...urn-faq-56744/
Also I woudnt trust ipod EQ settings, or what apple makes the ipod do with 'treble boost' enabled. And as with any headphones, they get better with burn-in.
The BEST song to burn in with: YouTube - (Drop It Low Remix) Ester Dean ft Lil Wayne & Chris Brown w/Lyrics
