I was curious how much I would have to spend on a decent audion system for my PC>

I have a on-board audio card that got this year and it has a spdif output on the board with a two pin controller that is on-board. I was hoping to build or buy a bracket to output to a amp. The soiund card is a Realtek ALC888

Will I need a new sound card or can i get a amp either through this spdif or usb??

I want to play games, listen to music (pink flyod to rap) and watch movies.

I have about 100-150$ for the hardware and later get a set of cans. (q-40's I think).

If i can grab a amp which should I get??

Does anyone know if that spdif with two pins can go direct to a bracket?
The manual says it is for a video card with HDMI...can I bypass the card and go into a coaxil digital otuput?

The ZeroDac is a bit expensive though....is there other dac/amp that i can look at for around 100$?
