To all Australians on here

Is it possible to build a Cmoy with parts sourced from Dick Smith Electronics? It seems I can get most of the things except maybe quality op-amps, some of the caps and the resistors (still don't understand the 9 pages of resistors on their site)

Anyone care to share some help?

I am sure it is, but why DS ? You would better getting your parts of Jaycar, Farnells or RS Online

Here:

Jaycar Electronics - Better. More Technical.

Farnell Australia | world-leading distributor of electronic and maintenance, repair and operations products.

RS Australia | World Leading Distributor of Electronics, Electromechanical and Industrial Components

Altronics - Your One Stop Audio Visual & Electronics Supplier

and even probably

eBay Australia - Buy or sell practically anything on eBay, the world's online marketplace

Hope that helps

jaycar even has a kit I think, but all poarts are easily sourced at farnell, they have better value shipping than RSONLINE

farnell.com.au , wide selection of all electronic components, good price on certain parts (not so good on others), plus free postage at the moment- and it is super quick. I placed an order for a couple of chips at 10 o'clock this morning and they had been delivered by the time i arrived home from work (4 o'clock), incredible service.

yeah their shipping is the BOMB, agreed on inconsistent value, connectors and stuff are a rip off, but some things like SMD caps and R's as well as selected other things are quite reasonable. the fast shipping and local trade = win

Oh okay awesome, thats no problem I am just more familiar with DSE and I get staff discount.
I want to build one pretty much regardless, but would this be of benefit with Ultrasone PROline 550's?

I am open to other options as well. I dont know a whole lot about circuits but I am very intrigued to try and I am just going to blindly follow the instructions like always. Probably willing to spend up to $100 on this thing be it Cmoy PIMETA or whatever

well if you can work ot your own casing, you could build a mini^3 for that just about pimeta would give better performance though IMO. with a touch more you could build a PPAv2 which IMO kills the above
