Wanting to build my Pimeta after having the board for over 12 months, but cant find any BUF634 for love nor money! Anyone else having this problem and have a solution??

Put an ad in the buy & sell section here on head-fi. Thats how I got my buffers.

Mouser currently shows 8 due at the end of November. just backorder them.
edit: its the "T" version, which are wrong for the pimeta. sorry.

my previous experience with percey audio says that the end of november is about the same time he will email you back for your initial inquiry.

The other thing to do is build it as a three channel cmoy and then add the buffers later. My resistor values were here to make it a gain of 11. I do have to say it does sound pretty well this way.

LMH6321 is a better buffer. You should solder it directly to the SOIC pads on the bottom of the pcb, and cut pin 5. You also must leave out r11.

Just go with the LMH6321, like everyone else does. I have them in both of my Pimetas, and prefer them to the unobtanium BUF634s. Besides, they're a mere, what, $5.35 each at Digi-Key - i.e. even cheaper than the BUF634.

Thanks for the advice. I may just do that very thing.

Just make sure to cut off pin 5 and do not install R11.

Thanks again, but can someone explain why I am leaving out R11 and cut and lift on pin 5?

Because LMH6321 and BUF634 do not share the same pinout and the Pimeta was designed for the BUF634.
