New Head-Fier
Prefacing this with the fact that I am not an audiophile, but haven't really been able to find anything searching online. I'm looking for an inexpensive pair of in-ears that are not sealed and allow outside noise in. Primarily using these for exercising, so I'm not super concerned about audio quality as long as it is half decent. I'm more concerned about being able to hear what's going on around me and durability. I prefer non-sealed over any sort of sealed with active noise reproduction; sealed earbuds are uncomfortable for me and throw off my balance, both of which are worse when they get jostled around.
For reference, I currently use a pair of Phillips SHE5910, which is the only type I had found that met the above criteria. I actually preferred them so much over anything else that I had tried that I stockpiled several pairs before they stopped manufacturing them. I've been working through them over the last decade while trying to baby them as much as possible. Unfortunately, the last pair I have is developing a tear in the eartips, and a wire that is getting a bit faulty when moved in certain ways.
I'm not even sure what to be searching for on these, would they be considered dynamic? Vented? Any pointers in that regard would be super helpful even without a specific recommendation.
