Hello dear the next best audio device chasers, I am a new member and I am in a dilemma, which I am sure I must solve myself, but need some inputs from you guys. I am by no means an audiophile and I am just here to enjoy the music without getting too much attached to the technicalities.
Before I begin here is how my journey down this rabbit hole began:
Out of curiosity, I ordered KZ ZS10 pro to see how it sounds. My mind was blown and I was so happy that I could listen to so many details which were earlier muffled due to various reasons. This was when I paired my android phone with the IEM. One bright day, I had an idea to pair it with iphone 5s which was gathering dust and the sound opened up even more. I was happily listening to the songs that I did not even consider before. Now I am at following point:
- iphone 5s as main device
- kz ZS10 pro as go to iem, default copper wire with foam tips
- kb ear lark sitting next to me but seemingly harder to drive than ZS10 pro.
- Spotify for the music library
I love listening to miscellaneous sort of music. But I do expect something from the iem when listening to particular genre. Examples:
- clarity and isolation when listening to flamenco. I think ZS10 pro has covered me here. But I might be wrong.
- bass or rumble when listening to EDM
- Vocals on raga, I am again happy with ZS10 pro.
I am looking at:
- openheart resin: the bass as per veterans here is good and it doesn't lose details as much
- kz dq6: new kid in the block. Mixed reviews.
- blon bl03: given the love this champ gets, I'd go for this but fitting is questionable. And I can't try it anywhere near me as of now.
I am tight on budget with one choice to make. Any inputs or directions for my next purchase?
