I really hate to add another $100-200 headphone recommendation thread, but here it is anyway. =P

* I listen to mostly electronic, that is, downtempo, chillout, ambient, etc.
Sample so you get the notion and for your enjoyment =) Shulman - Mia Nihta Mono Den Ftani audio in Knickknack's Music channel on Twango
* I want something for just listening, but that will also be decent monitors for studio use for making music. Is this possible to get both in one?
* Probably closed just for convenience so I don't bother others I suppose, but not sure how much open leak as I'm new to this.
* No amp I suppose to keep money low, but not sure really.

After browsing the forums these are some that seem decent.
Denon AH-D1000 $100
Sennheiser HD-280 $80
RP21 $80
akg 240s $80
Audio Technica ATH-M50 $130

Thanks

the 595s and 580s are totally different headphones, the # doesn't necessarily mean one is better than the other. the 595s have a wider sound stage and the 580s have a better overall sound quality. some people prefer the 595s, but thats not always the case. go to headroom's website (headphone.com) and check out their selection and reviews, and you can find them at a better price at another website if you want. i dont have much experience with sealed headphones, but you should check out the sennheiser 280 pros. you can find those for ~$80
