Not really sure that this is budget-fi, although I think it is for Head-Fi standards. More Mid-Fi I guess though. (I am in high school, so what does that say....)

Portable rig is more Budget-Fi: at the moment it is Zune 120 out to some Nuforce NE6s.

Kingston Data Traveler 8GB USB stick: $30.00 USD
HeadRoom Total BitHead (bought on sale last December): $99.00 USD
Koss KSC 75: $25.00 USD
Grand total: $154.00 USD

Yes, the KSC 75 price is correct, that's how much they retail for in Mexico, after customs, taxes, etc.

IMO, a great bare minimum budget rig is something like a Little Dot amp or similar connected to an iPod and cheap but good quality headphone like something less than $100.
