that sounds kinda funny don't it?What I mean is I know there are a lot of guys out there who are taking the plunge and buying turntables.I have sold at least three tables to head-fiers and sell every table I get nearly as fast as I get them.I am so glad to see so many people rediscovering LPs and the fantastic sound a well matched system is cable of.When I get the store opened I will have a large selection of tables and lots of great music to play.My goal is to get more people listening to and enjoying analog.

So,how many of us have turntables or are considering buying one?I'm curious. No,I'm not trying to drum up sales,I'm doing fine right now.

I've got an MMF2 and love it. Maybe I'll win the lottery and upgrade.

fred - you got any rega tts? I'm interested in the P25.

I hope to have a collection of early mono but mostly stereo pressings (classical, jazz, oldies) prior to building an analog system.

I also have an MMF2. Great table for the price.

There's a lot of used vinyl out there, especially those that have never been reissued on CD.

I'm afraid I'm turning into a real vinyl junkie
rolleyes.gif

I just sold my Systemdek IIx900 to fund the purchase of a Nottingham Analogue Interspace to go with my rewired RB300 and Dynavector DV20X-H. I don't even buy CDs any more...
But i can't wait to hear how the Interspace sounds with the Stax Basic that's in the post.....

I've got a Michell Gyro SE with QC power supply into a MF XLP2 phono stage and I'm hoping,by next week, to have an Origin Live Silver taper tonearm and Ortofon Kontrapunkt B mc cart.

I have an LP-12 from 1976. When I win the lottery, I'm buying the Rockport Technologies turntable and tonearm -- a bargain at $79,000 (more or less).

I'm presently making the transition (thanks to carlo!). My system will begin humbly with a Rega Planar 3, Grado Black/Goldring 1012, OL-wired RB250, and Monolithic PS-1.

I've got a Technics SL-210 (ack!) with a Grado Green cartridge, going into an old NAD 7020's integrated phono preamp. Its not too shabby for a basic vinyl system. At this point, I feel better putting my money into the music. I'll upgrade the turntable later (it'll be the first to go), and I'm waiting for the good doctor over at bottlehead to put out the Seduction phono stage, which i'll probably get and build when it comes out.

So until then, i'm happy with this modest system, and a growing collection of records. Vinyl yay!

peace,

My Vinyl setup is very humble, but I enjoy it a lot. A modified Thorens TD150-II (from 1973, but like new) with Denon DL110 cart. I upgraded all wiring to Van den Hul, dampened the wooden housing and placed the thing on soft feet. It sounds even better now. I buy a few used records every week, at about 3-5 EURO I still can't believe how cheap they are.
Enjoy!
