Im not familiar with this warranty thing since i find out if i dont like something before 30 days is up and either keep it or send it back. my mom made me get extended warranty just in case, and boy was that a good move. i dropped my pod and it broke. i mentioned this before and thought about buying parts and fixing the thing myself but i didnt know what part to replace (either the circuit board or the HD). i purchased my ipod from bestbuy a year ago and i have about 2 years left. if it was my fault would they still cover it? or am i an already poor person with a broken expensive DAP?

Call them up or take your iPod to the store (with proof of purchase). Whether they'll fix/replace it mainly depends on what sort of damage you did. If it's plainly obvious it was dropped (i.e. cracked screen or body), I doubt they'll be willing to do anything. However, if it's just not working (i.e. dead drive), they should probably cover the damage. Just don't mention how it happened!

haha well, nothings cracked, the HD is just wacked! it skips songs and freezes. itunes wont recognize it anymore either.
